The San Diego Foundation awarded $838,704 in Opening the Outdoors grants to 24 nonprofit organizations.

The grantees will help address inequities and enhance access to the outdoors throughout San Diego County.

Christina DeBenedict is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the UC San Diego.

She also serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement Services at the university.
